SDG 6: CLEAN WATER & SANITATION
WHY WE CHOOSED IT?
We had the inspiration to choose SDG 6 because as the population grows and water requirements increase, it is crucial to research this topic and find a solution. By addressing the global water crisis, we aim to ensure access to clean water and sanitation for all. Half of the world’s population, approximately 3.6 billion people, lack safe sanitation at home. Additionally, 1.8 billion people live without access to safe drinking water. Each year, unsafe water, inadequate sanitation, and poor hygiene practices contribute to the deaths of 829,000 people. Our motivation stems from the need to promote human health, economic development, and environmental sustainability. Achieving SDG 6 will necessitate significant investment in research, infrastructure, and policy changes.
OUR JOURNEY
Our journey in rainwater harvesting started with a simple realization: we were carelessly using this precious resource in our community. We have spent months of dedicated teamwork, research, web development, and community outreach led to the unveiling of our website, making an impact by increasing awareness and positive change. Looking ahead, our mission continues, emphasizing teamwork and determination in creating meaningful change.

Our mission is to encourage people to adopt eco-friendly practices and reduce their carbon footprint. We believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on the environment and create a better future for generations to come.

We, the Hydro Guardians, are a group of students who are dedicated to solving the issue of Water Scarcity. We are from Grade 8MC, 21K British School. Our team consists of Shubh Pawaiya, Anwesha Ganji, Illana Davidson, Seth Leo and Shaikh.
